The OilHealth and OilWear products are grouped within the family of on-line sensors, i.e. they are solutions designed to work by being directly installed in the points of interest. This concept aims to transfer autonomous "mini-laboratories" to the environment of use in order to carry out the measurement of some process of interest, as a supplement to conventional lubricant analysis.
In the case of OilHealth and OilWear sensors, their objective is to offer an autonomous, reliable and remote solution for the on-line monitoring of the condition of lubricants used in large industrial equipment (wind generators, gas turbines, etc.)
The integration of diverse technologies (photonics, fluids, Micro-mechanics, chemometrics, electronics, etc.) has been the key in developing these products and complying with market expectations in terms of precision, reliability, size and cost.
The results of that integration is a family of easily installed sensors, capable of autonomous operation and that provide, in real time, measurements and standardized values on the condition of lubricating oil through standard communication interfaces.
Currently, these sensors are being used by the main manufactures and operators of wind generators and their use is being evaluated in gas turbine energy generation plants.
Thus, these solutions can be applied to practically any lubricated or hydraulic operating system.
