IK4-TEKNIKER collaborated with the ADUR company in order to develop a system based on a sensorised mesh, capable of recording body movement and position and, thus, provide the feedback necessary for the user to correct their posture and adopt a defined effective body movement and position.
The sensorised mesh used has seventeen wireless sensors to collect information on the movement of the person and send this data to a central system.
An avatar instantaneously reproduces these movements, indicating which postures and gestures undermine the efficacy of body movements.
The diagnostic system enables the person to identify the gestures and movements that should be corrected through a specific training programme.
Its main features can be summed up as: the identification of real-time body movements using inertial sensors, the identification of deviations from a set pattern and the feedback to the end user (screen and voice).
This system is transferrable to other situations where it is required to undertake specific training to avoid or recover from injuries, for example in the workplace or tele-rehabilitation.
