Tekniker sells on-line test lab services

Date 01-03-2022 Tekniker

The Tekniker technology centre has reinforced its commitment to Clickindustrial, the organisation’s pioneering B2B platform featuring industrial services by incorporating a new category called the “test lab”’.

Digitisation continues to open doors that seemed to be firmly closed against more traditional processes such as the procurement of industrial services by companies. In this regard, it was in 2019 when the Tekniker technology centre, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), launched the pioneer Clickindustrial marketplace to offer companies industrial services that are only one click away.

Two years after being set tup, platform turnover has grown 476% every semester and 142% in terms of average tickets. Tekniker is increasingly focusing more on this digital space by incorporating a new category comprising laboratory tests.

Itziar Cenoz, director for Marketing and Digital Business at Tekniker, explains that “the potential of Clickindustrial is very clear in our minds as we want to extend the portal’s portfolio of industrial services. In the mid-term, our aim is to include an extensive battery of tests”.

Technical cleanliness testing

Consequently, the first sample currently available in this new category is a technical cleanliness test that analyses residual pollution present in components and parts to be installed in highly demanding systems in operation in sectors such as automotive, medical, hydraulic and precision components. Tekniker’s cleanliness tests were initially certified by the National Certification Board (ENAC) in 2015, the year when the technology centre became Spain’s leading certified company performing them.

The platform allows customers to buy technical cleanliness tests that can be performed in laboratories or on-site, as well as ‘Tape Lift’ tests in compliance with the parameters set forth in regulations on cleanliness testing for components and/or in accordance with specific customer standards.
In order to provide this service, Tekniker offers cleansing booths adapted to different morphologies, components and sizes as well as an optical microscope that uses a polarised light source to analyse particles automatically as well as an automatic electronic scanning microscope featuring X EDS ray spectroscopy.

More about Clickindustrial

Based on the marketplace format, Clickindustrial, does not only offer a broad range of technology centre services but also enables companies to sell their products and services. Tekniker selects all suppliers carefully to guarantee high quality technology and is always on the lookout for companies with the potential to complement its activities, create synergies and increase sale volumes.

The portal is currently being used by Bureau Veritas, the first company to market it services via the platform. As regards future actions, Tekniker is encouraging more collaborating firms to join Clickindustrial to digitise their sales and is also extending the range of in-house services available on the platform.
