IK4-TEKNIKER will participate in XV Zientzia Astea

Date 30-10-2015 IK4-TEKNIKER

IK4-TEKNIKER will be present at the UPV/EHU applied electronics stand to display three demonstrators developed at the technology centre.

IK4-TEKNIKER will participate in “Zientzia Astea”, the 15th Science, Technology and Innovation Week hosted by UPV/EHU to be held in the Bizkaia Aretoa building in Bilbao from 4 – 8 November.

Zientzia Astea is the Science, Technology and Innovation Week whose target audience are people curious about the world of science & technology and want to see, hear about, feel and discuss science with professionals working in different fields.

The venue, the Bizkaia Aretoa building, will feature 19 stands and nearly 20 activities such as workshops, presentations, guided tours, field visits, etc. focused on subjects such as biology, physics, engineering, chemistry, robotics, mathematics, telecommunications, etc.

IK4-TEKNIKER will be present at the UPV/EHU applied electronics stand displaying three demonstrators developed at the technology centre:

Portable clotting measuring device

It is an electro-medical device of the Point of Care type used to measure clotting indices on patients undergoing oral anti-clotting therapy (with drugs like Sintrom). IK4-TEKNIKER has contributed and merged its knowledge in disciplines such as photonics, artificial vision, signal processing, algorithmics or HW, SW communications to build this solution.

Sensors used to measure oil degradation

These sensors offer a stand-alone, reliable, remotely operated solution that provides on-line status monitoring of lubricants used by heavy-duty industrial equipment (wind and gas turbines, etc.).

IK4-TEKNIKER has focused on bringing together technologies such as photonics, fluidics, micromechanics, chemometrics, electronics, etc. in order to develop these products and fulfil market expectations in terms of accuracy, reliability, size and cost.

Dot cloud robot

It is a compact, stand-alone and economical unit developed at IK4-TEKNIKER that is used for 3D dot cloud monitoring of environments. Dot clouds are associated with multiple applications amongst which are the execution of 3D models of manufactured parts, quality inspection in metrology and others in the fields of visualisation, animation and texturing.
