Thanks to good internal organisation and TEKNIKER's multidisciplinary approach, customers are offered what are known as “diagnostic services” aimed at solving problems related to design, operation and the useful life of a wide range of machinery. In reality, the centre's knowledge of materials, friction, wear, lubrication, experimental, dynamic and static mechanics, etc., are brought together in this department to provide an integral diagnostics that identifies the problem and proposes solutions.

Each diagnostic service may make use of the multiple resources of the different TEKNIKER laboratories, in order to:

• Analyse the material.
• Tribological studies.
• Metallographic studies.
• Mechanical calculations.
• Fuel and lubricant analysis.
• Corrosion.

Even though they are there to serve any need, the diagnostic services are particularly designed to deal with issues relating to:

• Components: bearings, ball bearings, gears, filtration systems.
• Tribology: abrasion, adhesive waste, pitting, erosion, fatigue, friction, fretting, rheology...
• Machines and systems: compressors, hydraulic systems, internal combustion motors, transmissions, wind turbines...

In various industrial sectors: aerospace, automotion, marine, mining, paper, energy, public works, wind generation...
