We at the TEKNIKER Technological Centre have always been concerned with friction, lubrication and wear. We have been working in the field of Tribology for over 25 years. Over this time, the experience gained has situated TEKNIKER as one of Europe's best-known research centres in the field of tribology and tribolubrication.

Our investment in tribolubrication research, development and innovation has allowed us to carry out the analysis and characterisation of lubricating oils and greases, develop biolubricants, oils and greases and perform tribocorrosion activities.

TEKNIKER has a fully equipped laboratory consisting of 11 tribometers with different functions that allow us to deal with a wide range of problems. We can conduct standardised tests to characterise the friction and wear properties of materials, as well as adapt existing equipment to create configurations tailored to specific problems.

We have also designed and built test benches made of real components that are exposed to friction and wear in accordance with the needs of our clients. Al this equipment is complemented by all the auxiliary equipment needed to analyse the results obtained, such as the confocal and scanning electron microscopes required to analyse the wear suffered by components.

We also have the largest laboratory for analysing and characterising lubricating oils and greases on the Iberian Peninsula (Wearcheck).
