TEKNIER-IK4 is organising the 22nd International Congress on Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Engineering Management, COMADEM 2009, to be held at the Palacio Miramar from 9th-11th June.
Experts from all over the world will analyse how to obtain maximum business advantage from the latest tools and techniques, in such fields as engineering, industry and research
The event will analyse such topics as the importance of the human factor, the appearance of new information and communications technologies and the miniaturisation of sensors
From June 9th-11th, Donostia will host the 22nd International Congress on Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Engineering Management, COMADEM 2009. The event will see the Palacio Miramar in Donostia-San Sebastian become the setting for the presentation of the latest strategies, multidisciplinary techniques and international trends aimed at increasing industrial competitiveness.
Organised by TEKNIER-IK4, the Eibar-based technological centre, COMADEM 2009 is an international congress for discussing how to obtain maximum advantage for industry from cutting-edge tools and techniques applied in such fields as engineering, industry and research. The congress programme includes workshops, sessions and conferences that will explain and debate almost 100 works presented by a broad panel of experienced speakers representing both the industrial sector and universities.
The conference organisers have also prepared an exhibition area, where you can see an excellent selection of sensors, equipment and evaluation software, as well as a large number of latest-generation tools and services aimed at optimising performance in such fields as engineering, industry, laboratories, research institutes and universities.
In the current context of economic uncertainty, the key to success in business may well depend more than ever on the roll out the correct strategies, using qualified teams and the right technologies. In order to deal topics such as this, numerous international experts have been invited to COMADEM 2009 by TEKNIER-IK4 to analyse a series of practical tools designed to accentuate the significant benefits that advanced maintenance can have in ensuring that companies differentiate themselves from their competitors both in the sustainability of resources and the viability of the business itself.
The many topics to be discussed at COMADEM 2009 will include the generation of the right strategies to optimise maintenance and operation, where we will deal with such key concepts as reliability, the importance of the human factor, the emergence of new information and communications technologies and the miniaturisation of sensing devices. Many of these factors are and important part of the research carried out by TEKNIER-IK4 in the field of maintenance and reliability, with such projects as SENSOIL (optical sensor based on visible spectroscopy for determining the overall degradation status of a lubricant in use), PROLIMA (new decision-making support tool for sustainable design and operation from the point of view of balancing financial, social and environmental factors during the life cycle of the product) and TATEM (process-oriented diagnosis, prediction and maintenance for aeronautics).
With over 25 years experience researching applied technology and transferring it to business, we have reached a high degree of specialisation in four main areas (Precision Engineering, Surface Engineering, Production Engineering and Automation and Manufacturing Technologies), meaning that we can place our cutting-edge technology at the service of all kinds of tasks. In 2008, the Eibar-based technological centre carried out studies to a value of almost 19 million Euros.
