Advanced Production Technologies, henceforth APT, is a line of work aimed at studying manufacturing technologies from a comprehensive viewpoint, including the different aspects of future production systems, such as:

• Development of new production processes, along with the specifications of the resources, tools, control and monitoring systems needed for these processes to be used in industrial environments.
• Systems and methods that ensure the quality and productivity demanded by industry.
• Systems and methods that allow the continuous improvement of processes, including modelling, monitoring and control to improve process conditions.
