Editorial: LUBMAT 2012-lubrication, maintenance and tribotechnology

LUBMAT 2012 was held in Bilbao, from 6–8 June 2012 in the Euskalduna Palace. LUBMAT was born in 2006, as a collaboration agreement between Jost Institute for Tribotechnology in UK and IK4-TEKNIKER in Eibar, Spain. 

LUBMAT 2012 contained contributions dealing with lubrication management, tribology, lubricants and additives, special fluids, efficient and operation maintenance, and reliability and sustainability. LUBMAT has been characterised by its effort to reach the biggest number of companies, organising in parallel training courses on 4–5 June, with Congress Collaborators, including the Spanish Association of Maintenance through their review ‘Maintenance’, and the publications F+L Asia, Lubes and Greases, Noria and STLE. Additionally, scientific papers were selected to be published in Lubrication Science, being submitted to a careful expert review.
