IoT Week 2018, a week devoted to the internet of things

The IoT Week conference, to be held from June 4-8 at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao, will address the latest trends in the field of the Internet of Things.

Artificial intelligence, Big Data or Industry 4.0 are some of the subject matters to be discussed at the IoT Week conference that will take place this year in the Biscayan capital under the slogan “Where the experts meet, and the future is crafted”.

The conference will allow alliances to be forged and reinforced between different stakeholders in this the sector interested in learning more about improvements reported in the field of IoT technology in areas that are strategic for the economy. Recent trends will also be reviewed.

This year´s edition will focus on the following subjects:

  • IoT and Big Data
  • 5G convergence
  • Smart Cities
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data protection and security
  • New business models and IoT markets 
  • Food safety and intelligence in the primary sector
  • Advanced manufacturing

During the opening session, the conference will host the Global IoT Summit (GloTS), promoted by IEEE, and created to present and select scientific papers addressing recent developments in IoT. In the following days there will be presentations, lectures and a number of activities focused on the conference´s subject matters.

Practical examples will be given on startups using IoT as a driver for their work methodologies. There will also be workshops and private meetings.
